El carlismo en el noroeste de la Región de Murcia

Journal Title: Alquipir - Year 2022, Vol 6, Issue 1

Abstract

This article takes a historiographical look at the Carlist process in the northwest of the region of Murcia. Thus, comments are made on various economic contributions made from towns such as Mula, Moratalla, Cehegín or Caravaca to the Carlist cause, thanks to the strength that the clergy, opposed from the beginning to the new Queen Isabella II, exerted in these towns. A similar process took place during the Second Carlist War.
