Electromyographic Study of the Bioelectrical Activity of Lower Extremity Muscles in Patients with Degenerative Stenosis Complicated by Syndrome of Neurogenic Intermittent Claudication

Journal Title: Біль. Суглоби. Хребет - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 21

Abstract

The article deals with the research and evaluation of the functional state of neuromuscular system by the method of interferential electromyography in patients with degenerative lumbar spine stenosis complicated by neurogenic intermittent claudication. The findings suggest the presence of negative symptoms in the organization of bioelectrical muscle activity in patients with stenosis of the lumbar spine both at rest and after specific loads. Reduced muscle bioelectrical activity after stress test is determined by the slowdown, as well as by a partial or complete blockage of conduction of excitation in different structural elements of the motor unit, which is confirmed by the data of this study.
