ELEMENTS OF COMPUTER-INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF DECISION MAKING AND INFORMATION RESCUE PROCESSES

Abstract
The article describes the possibility of using computer support for the decision-making and information processes in the rescue system in Poland. The authors also describe the future development trends of decision support systems in crisis management, which is a kind of the next stage of IT development in the management of rescue systems. The paper also describes the existing research and the development of computer technology used in the administration of emergency based on the case studies of tools and systems. The analyses are focused on Polish reality, but also the tools implemented in the European Union and the United States of America are described. The article is based on the research conducted by Stanislaw Drosio during the projects of building and implementing the described IT tools in Wodzislaw Slaski district.
