Emerging Trend in Entrepreneurial Education

Abstract

This paper explores development of entrepreneurial education as fundamental to building progressive economies, the impact of social capital and how knowledge will be delivered to encourage cognition and behavioral development among students. We argue that social capital serves as a building block to be developed in order to achieve success from pedagogical initiatives of entrepreneurship. Educational policies initiate pedagogical changes throughout the primary school years and beyond by involving policy makers and educators to develop curricular that encourages critical analysis as a means of instruction and education to further the growth of human talents, which is vital for the transition into an entrepreneuriallyoriented society. A conceptual model is developed inline with current pedagogical and social capital theories, and recommendations are made for both educational and institutional bodies and a policy paradigm is suggested for affecting change.
