Abstract
This paper presents the purpose and the essence of the research on the quality of polymers used in automotive industry in vehicle interior. Various methods of VOC emissions from polymers are discussed. Particular attention has been paid to studies conducted in the 1m³ environment chamber on the example of the WKE 1000 (Weiss) chamber. The requirements for such chambers are discussed. The problem of test method validation and quality assurance of the test results for compliance with PN-EN ISO/IES 17025:2005 requirements are discussed.
