ENHANCEMENT OF ACCURACY OF SELECTION AND EFFICIENCY OF USE OF DISTRIBUTIONAL NETWORKS POWER TRANSFORMERS

Abstract
Purpose. To find out the development and justification of measures to improve selection accuracy and efficiency use of power transformers loading ability in distribution networks. Methodology. Standard methods for the nominal power of transformers selecting and the operating modes of electrical networks calculating have been used. Findings. Measures to increase the efficiency of transformers exploitation in distribution networks have been developed, which will ensure an efficient operation mode of this equipment. Originality. The value of the critic load factor, at which it is expedient to perform the replacement of transformers depending on their initial load and the number of hours of maxi- mum load use, has been established. Expressions for determination of suitable load factors for multi-transformer substa- tions have been proposed. Expressions for determining the minimum level of reactive loads compensation for the effec- tive load mode of transformers realization are proposed. Practical value. The results can be used for substantially in- crease the efficiency of power transformers use in electrical networks at all levels of distribution of electric energy in power industry enterprises conditions.
