In this study we found that various factors like age, sex, total body surface area of burns, type of burns, cause of burns, conditions such as involvement of the respiratory tract are responsible for the morbidity and mortality in burn patients; Septicemic shock was the major cause of death & Staphylococcus aureus was the most commonly cultured organism followed by mixed type of infection and Pesudomonas aeruginosa.
