Ethnogenetic Concepts of Ukrainian Soviet Researchers (1950s—1991)

Journal Title: Українознавство - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 64

Abstract

This article analyzes ethnogenetic concepts of Ukrainian Soviet researchers. It is observed that according to the official version of Soviet historical sciences, Ukrainian people originated not earlier than in the 14th–15th centuries. Until that time, there existed an ancient nation – a common ancestor of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian peoples.
