Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 25, Issue 25
Abstract
Whatever are the causes of the deficit of drinking water supply in the Senegalese rural zone, the villages of Mbomboye in particular, the objective aiming at the resource management in water remain the same: protect these resources for the satisfaction of the long-term needs. Considering the weakness of the river system in this rural space, the narrow-mindedness of rainy season and the drought to which is added the irregularity of the precipitation, explain the fluctuating appeal of the users in the exploitation of the groundwater. Indeed, the demand in water increases strongly in this rural world, what installs a competition between the various users of water and the concerned administrators, sometimes disrupting the social balance. It is about a complex relation where interfere natural, economic and social factors and diverse users and actors of the water in the sometimes contradictory interests. In this context, we propose, from inquiries, an analysis of the problematic situation of the water supply within the framework of the integrated management of water resources. These inquiries led with 50 inhabitants showed that sources of supply in waters are essentially rainwater, wells and drillings, sources used in essentially domestic purposes more satisfied. To remedy it, improve the system of drinking water supply of the population and contribute to the sustainable management of water resources of this environment, actions must be led. What requires the elaboration of a help tool based mainly on an integrated management of water resources.
