European funds as a source of financing transport infrastructure

Abstract
This paper analyzes possibilities of the support of the EU transport infrastructure through the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund. The main mechanisms of the functioning of the „Connecting Europe” Facility were also presented. The analysis was carried out on the background of differentiated transport infrastructure in the European Union and the estimates of the investment needs in this regard.
