Evaluation of Career Planning Attitudes of Students in Terms of Demographic Factors: A Research on Karabuk University Faculty of Business Administration Students

Abstract
This study focuses on evaluation of university students’ viewpoint about their career planning. The purpose of the study is to determine whether the degree of career adaptability, career optimism and perceived knowledge of job market differentiate in terms of demographic variables. For this purpose data for the sample was collected from 247 students studying in Karabük University Faculty of Business School (business, entrepreneurship and actuary and risk management) via survey method. T-test and ANOVA analyses were conducted to test the hypotheses. As the results of the study, it was determined that perceived knowledge of job market is differentiated in terms of gender and also career adaptability and career optimism are differentiated in terms of department. It was not detected any difference in terms of other variables.
