Evaluation of quality of life in college students of the health area

Abstract
University life provides individuals with a favorable environment to develop and improve values related to their future professional and personal lives. Thus, through the search for scientific knowledge, it must find conditions to enhance the development of critical thinking and its role as a citizen, essential for the training of the health professional and his commitment to society. The objective of the research was to identify and analyze the inherent quality of life characteristics of undergraduate students in Biomedicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physiotherapy. This cross-sectional study was conducted with 320 nursing academics, pharmacy, biomedicine and physiotherapy from a private university in the State of São Paulo. We used a semi-structured interview with sociodemographic data and the WHOQOL-BREF generic questionnaire on quality of life. The results showed a statistically significant difference in the quality of life worsening among the students and graduates of the undergraduate courses of the health area in the psychological, social relations and environment domains. The students of the night period presented impairment in their Quality of Life, due to the routine of work and study.
