EVALUATION OF STRATEGIC PURPOSE OF SUPPLY CHAIN, LOGISTICS INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND AN EMPRICAL STUDY

Abstract
Developments and changes in information technology makes logistics information systems important. Raw materials and products to manage information technology has strategic importance. Submission of products with right time, right place, right information, can be realized thanks to information technology that enables the transfer of qualified information. Application is made by the method of face to face interviews with 41 people in the most executive positions in Karaman. Application was made to businesses engaged in the export sector biscuits, chocolate, sweets (confectionery). LSCM is located in the strategic plan (%29.3). The benefits of using LSCM and information systems; better quality information (4.00), more information (3.97) and cost savings (3.90) were found.
