Abstract

One of the items that states attach the most importance to in the international arena is the energy field. The fact that the need for energy of developed and developing states is increasing day by day increases the importance of the energy sector in international relations, as well as the importance of the availability and availability of energy. Since the 2000s, the rich hydrocarbon deposits discovered in the Eastern Mediterranean have been an important indicator that the region has great potential in terms of oil and natural gas reserves. At the point of dec the energy of the Eastern Mediterranean, this situation has created various opportunities and crises among intra-regional actors. As an intra-regional actor with the longest coastline to the Eastern Mediterranean, Türkiye is pursuing a policy aimed at protecting its rights arising from international law in this context. The Eastern Mediterranean policy of Türkiye is developing in two directions: the first is formed on the basis of protecting its own rights and interests in the region, while the second is a policy aimed at protecting the rights and interests of the TRNC by taking shape on the island of Cyprus, which has the most important geopolitical position in the Eastern Mediterranean. While Türkiye's Eastern Mediterranean Policy is based on the principles stipulated by international law, the close contacts it has established with the actors in the region and the collaborations it cannot be a party to lead to the formation of various opportunities and crises shaped like Türkiye. The aim of this study is to evaluate the elements that shaped Türkiye's struggle in the Eastern Mediterranean during to 2000- 2021 years, despite the fact that Türkiye was disabled in energy diplomacy established by intra- ragional actors in the Eastern Mediterranean.
