It was a mixed-methods design where quantitative (using retro-pre feedback) and qualitative (using open ended questions) were used. The total number of health care providers included in the study was 41. A half day workshop on counselling micro skills was facilitated by two trained health professionals for health care providers. Quantitative data was collected using a retro-pre feedback questionnaire. The participants were contacted and qualitative data was collected after one month of training program using open ended questions. The quantitative data was entered and analysed using Epi_info (version 3.5.4) software. Qualitative data was entered and analysed manually. Ethical Clearance from the Institutional Human Ethics Committee was obtained.
