Abstract
“Everything about Careii Mari” tells us the memories of a Romanian soldier who was among the first ones to liberate the city of Careii Mari on the night of October 24th – 25th, 1944. It was the unit of Captain Costache Dumitru – 7th Company from 34th Infantry Regiment the first one to enter the city of Careii Mari two hours before the Romanian troops reached the city. His recollections of this moment refer not only to the historical aspect and the way they were received by the local people, but is also giving us insights into the soldier’s character.
