Evolution of the concept of performance and the role of evaluation agencies in measuring: Field study of a sample of Algerian institutions

Abstract

Currently, the business environment is characterized by a development of principles that ensure the continuity and sustainability of companies, hence the notion of performance is developed by taking into account social responsibility. However, the performance only exists if it can be evaluated. Notwithstanding, the objective of this study is to present the evolution of the performance and the most useful evaluation tool, so it is interesting to exploit first the theoretical evolution of the performance in order to moderate the company's performance and the importance of the VIGEO rating model, and in the second part this model was applied to a sample of Algerian companies, the data collection tool used is the questionnaire and analysis software. applied data is SPSS. As a result, the companies surveyed were found to have average performance levels.
