EXAMINING THE CITIZEN-CENTERED APPROACH IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION: A CASE STUDY OF THE USA

Abstract
Abstract This article explores the transition towards a citizen-centered approach in public administration, with a particular emphasis on the United States. The conventional bureaucratic paradigm, characterized by its centralized decision-making and hierarchical framework, is progressively being replaced with a model that emphasizes public involvement, participation, and contentment. This article investigates the extent to which the USA has adopted a citizen-centered approach in recent years by conducting a thorough examination of different projects, policies, and case studies. The analysis examines the role of technology in enabling contact between citizens and the government, the significance of openness and accountability, the influence of citizen feedback channels on policy development, and the difficulties faced in transitioning to a more citizen-focused approach. This research makes a valuable contribution to the current discussion on how to enhance the efficacy and responsiveness of public administration in meeting the demands and expectations of citizens. It does this by emphasizing techniques that have been successful and suggesting areas where improvements may be made.
