EXPERIMENTAL AND QUANTUM CHEMICAL INVESTIGATION OF NEW ELECTROLUMINESCENT MATERIAL BASED ON THIOPHENE, PHENYLENE AND ANTRACENE
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii din Bucuresti. Chimie - Year 2010, Vol 19, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper, we first report, the synthesis and physical properties of a recent soluble polymer based on thiophene, phenylene and antracene. Then, we present a detailed DFT study based on B3LYP/6-31G* of geometrical structures and electronic properties of this copolymer. Calculated results are compared with experimental data and based on such comparison. We try first, to propose an oligomer model, and then to obtain a qualitative understanding of the properties of copolymer.

ELECTRIC FIELD EFFECT ON OPTICAL DICHROISM OF SOME AZODYES DISSOLVED IN COMPENSATED CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL
In the paper are presented the results obtained in the study of the optical dichroism of some azodyes dissolved in a compensated mixture of cholesteryl chloride and cholesteryl-nonanoate under the electric field action....
A NEW N,N-DIMETHYLBIGUANIDIUM DERIVATIVE – SYNTHESIS AND STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISATION
A new N,N-dimethylbiguanidium derivative (C4H12N5)2(NO3)(ClO4) has been synthesised and characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The derivative crystallizes in the monoclinic C2/c space group and the N,N-dimeth...
SOLVATION PARAMETERS OF LEAD ACETATE IN MIXED WATER-N,N-DIMETHYLFORMAMIDE MIXTURES AT 298.15 K
The molar solubility of lead acetate (LA) in mixed DMF-H2O solvents was measured at 298.15 K. From the molar solubilities the solvation parameters, Debye Huckel constants A, B, activity coefficient, solubility products,...
A DSC STUDY OF ΑLPHA AMINOBUTYRIC ACID GAMMA IRRADIATED
The behaviour on heating of irradiated with gamma rays and non-irradiated DL-α aminobutyric acid (DL-α AMB) was investigated comparatively, by means of differential scanning calorimetry. (DL-α AMB) decomposes before melt...
CONSTITUENTS FROM FERONIA LIMONIA
The root and stem bark of Feronia limonia yielded 5, 7-dihydroxy-3', 4'-dimethoxy -6, 8-di (3-methylbut-2-enyl) flavanone along with several known compounds viz., stigmasterol, friedelin, β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyran...
