Experimental investigations in flows of gas and gas-dispersion media relative to problems of improved energy efficiency of pipeline systems
Journal Title: Технічна механіка, Техническая механика, Technical Mechanics - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 4
Abstract
Problems for experimental measuring hydraulic parameters of pipelines with closely-spaced joint welds and those for pneumatic transport of bulk material at an elevated pressure of the carrying gas are examined. Benches for studying and the results obtained for measuring hydraulic parameters to develop full-scale engineering sys-tems are examined. Dependencies of an elevated hydraulic resistance on weld sizes and a relative space between them the bench for studying the effects of closely-spaced joint welds are reported using the bench for studying the effects of closely-spaced joint welds. The results for measuring a hydraulic resistance, a critical speed and specific power consumption for transporting dispersive two-phase gas suspensions in a previously unknown domain of working pressures are obtained using the pneumatic transport bench

Determination of parameters of cavitation self-oscillation in hydraulic system under simultaneous longitudinal oscillation of pipe structure and fluid
The paper deals simultaneous longitudinal oscillation of feed pipes of liquid rocket engines (LRE) and flu-ids. Cavities, normally occurring in operations of LRE pumps, can result in self-excited low-frequency of the flu...
Evaluation of levitated motion of vehicle of electrodynamic transport system with nonstandard design
Based on the solution of differential motion equations for the vehicle with developed nonstandard design of an electrodynamic transport system having two lines of superconducting magnets on the vehicle and one line of tr...
Studies of dependency of fatigue of magnetron chrome coating on its mechanical properties
The literature is analytically reviewed for correlating mechanical and fatigue characteristics of coatings. The basic indices of correlation of fatigue and mechanical characteristics are revealed. Experimental characteri...
Interpretation of probe measurements in a collisionless plasma flow
The aim of this work is to develop and substantiate a procedure for the characterization of an unperturbed collisionless plasma on the basis of a parametric description of the current-voltage characteristic of a thin cyl...
Development of model of plant for measuring dispersivity of material in energy-carrier flow based on regression analysis
Based on experimental investigations, the plant for measuring the material particle size in the flow has been created. The work objective is to develop a regression model for determining the material dispersivity in the...
