EXPERIMENTAL STAND TO INVESTIGATE CAR PNEUMATIC ENGINES WITH VALVE AIR-DISTRIBUTOR

Abstract

Problem. The author (in co-authorship) modernized the motor stand for the study of working processes of pneumatic motors (PM), designed for the use in road transport as a part of a combined power plant. The measuring equipment of the stand allows: measure-ment of PM parameters without heating and with heating of compressed air at the inlet; measurement of indicator diagrams of PM with the help of special sensors; processing of experimental data using a personal computer and special software; determina-tion of the load force Rn on the stand; the KODA-2 weighing terminal is used to measure the analog signal of the sensitive element of the load cells with the output of measurement results on the display. The terminal provides direct connection of strain gauge bridge sensors without additional connec-tion. Load resistance of the terminal is at least 30 ohms. The motor stand allows performing the follow-ing: to provide a bench PD power supply system with the necessary volume of compressed air in the operating range of loads and speeds; to perform indexing of cylinders and study of the working pro-cess of PM during its operation according to speed characteristics in the required ranges of pressure variations of compressed air at the inlet ps = 0.3–2.0 MPa and crankshaft rotational speeds n = 200–4000 min-1; to investigate the impact on the indicator and effective performance indicators of PM of the temperature of the supplied compressed air with the heated inlet in the range. The developed motor stand is intended for scientific research in educational, research and production enterprises and research laboratories of the factories.
