EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON PSEUDOPLASTIC AND THIXOTROPIC PROPERTIES OF LITHIUM GREASES WITH ATR -FTIR SPECTROSCOPY
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2009, Vol 224, Issue 2
Abstract
The paper deals with experimental studies on pseudoplastic and thixotropic properties of lubricating greases with ATR-FTIR spectroscopy. The research was done on lithium greases thickened by lithium 12-hydroxystearate with mineral base oil. The molecular bonds between dispersed particles of lithium soap during the shearing process and the relaxation of grease were identified.

AN ANALYSYS OF WEAR AND MECHANICAL AND TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF HIGH-MANGANESE CAST STEEL HARDENED BY DIFFERENT METHODS
Properties of high manganese austenitic cast steel are not satisfactory; therefore, this material should be hardened. Currently, the commonly used method of hardening does not allow eliminating problems related to premat...
SCUFFING RESISTANCE OF FRICTION JOINTS WITH LOW-FRICTION COATED PARTS IN VARIOUS MATERIAL COMBINATIONS
The aim of the work was to investigate the effect of material combinations on scuffing resistance in heavy-loaded tribosystem with lowfriction coated parts. The low-friction a-C:H:W coating was deposited using the PVD pr...
