Experimental Study of RHA Concrete
Journal Title: International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology (IJRASET) - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper summarizes the research work on the properties of Rice Husk Ash (RHA) when used as partial replacement for Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) in concrete. OPC was replaced with RHA by weight at 0%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. 0% replacement served as the control. Slump cone test was carried out on fresh concrete while Compressive Strength test was carried out on hardened 150mm concrete cubes after 7, 14 and 28 days curing in water. The results revealed that the slump cone increased as the percentage replacement of OPC with RHA increased. The compressive and tensile strength of the hardened concrete also increase with increasing OPC replacement with RHA. It is recommended that further studies be carried out to gather more facts about the suitability of partial replacement of OPC with RHA in concrete.

Weight Reduction and Strengthening Of RC Beam Using CFRP and GFRP Layers by ANSYS 15.0
The current paper focuses on the study of RC beam with FRP as external layers. CFRP and GFRP as FRP materials are considered during the current work to study their behaviour on the deformation, strain and weight by mean...
Novel Method for Sensitivity Analysis of Fully Fuzzy Linear Programming Problem by Tabular Method
In the literature, there are various methods that deals with the sensitivity analysis of such linear programming problem in which some or all parameters are represented by triangular or trapezoidal fuzzy numbers by conv...
An Experimental Study on Rubberized Concrete by Using Waste Material with the Addition of Human Hair as Fiber
Rubberized concrete is a concrete in which the scrap tire rubber is used as a partial replacement of coarse aggregate. It has been estimated that nearly 1000 million tires reach the end of their useful lives every year...
