Exploring the Possibilities and Perspectives of Mindfulness to Improve Learning Abilities of EFL students

Abstract
Mindfulness is a form of attentional skill that focuses the mind on the present. This approach of mindful brain takes a deep look at this type of awareness through a surprising perspective in considering it as a means of yielding more creativeoutcome. Investigating the theoretical and pedagogical issues in mindfulness, this study seeks to explore how it can affect learning vocabularies among Iranian EFL learners.To this end, some language games were applied and the students’ performance and achievement was assessed through classroom observation.Learners in the experimental group were found to be far more successful; they showed better performance resulted in paying more attention to lessons, accepting and reacting to rendered knowledge by producing self-made utterances, compatible with the four stage experiential learning cycle of Kolb.
