Factorial Economic Planning Applied to Agricultural Experimentation
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Engineering Research and Science - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 6
Abstract
Innovation may be limited by the scarceness of resources, such as financial, homogeneous area, skilled labor or other research needs, for example the difficulty in experimental control of large areas in the field. In research areas such as chemistry and physics, designs are used in such a way that when compared to the agronomic designs, they result in a reduced number of experimental units, which in this work are called economic designs. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify significant factors and effects (p-value<0.05) with the application of economic factorial plans for agricultural experiments in the field. For this, two studies were carried out, the first comparing the 3k experimental designs with the full factorial, using the same number of experimental units for both, in order to evaluate the regression model. In the second study, the three experimental designs were compared, maintaining the number of repetitions and evaluating the influence of the reduction of the number of experimental units in the approach of the regression models. At the end of the two experiments, it was observed that the 3k design was able to identify the same effects and response surface similar to the control with a significant reduction (64) in the number of experimental units./p>
Resistance Spot Welding of Dissimilar Steels: Temperature Curves
Resistance spot welding was used to joint AISI 316L austenitic stainless steel and AISI 1020 low carbon steel. During the welding process, temperature measurements were taken to obtain the temperature curves. Because of...
Cost Analysis of Multimodal Freight Transportation: A Case of Iskenderun
In this study from Iskenderun to the other Turkey's 80 cities to unimodal and multimodal freight transportation scenarios are being developed. Filter material which is widely used in İskenderun is chosen for the freight....
Power Flow Calculations by Deterministic Methods and Artificial Intelligence Method
In this paper, we will present different methods for Power Flow Calculations. First, we will describe the deterministic methods; which are Gauss-Seidel (GS) and Newton-Raphson (NR) methods, in addition to that, we will u...
Gentrification and Environmental Justice in Nigerian Cities
Gentrification is a process of urban revitalization by which the original inhabitants of an area are displaced, owing to the purchase and upgrading of their deteriorated properties by the middle or high income households...
Inverse Kinematics and Trajectory Planning Analysis of a Robotic Manipulator
In this work, we pretended to show and compare three methodologies used to solve the inverse kinematics of a 3 DOF robotic manipulator. The approaches are the algebraic method through Matlab® solve function, Genetic Algo...
