Features of the competition for the occupation of vacant posts of public service: legal aspects

Abstract
The purpose of the article is a detailed review of the current legislation on conducting competitive selection for vacant positions in the civil service, highlighting the practice of their application and providing practical recommendations for improving the regulatory framework. The scientific novelty consists in substantiating the peculiarities of carrying out competitive tests on vacancies in the civil service, starting with the order of submission of documents, providing practical recommendations for improving the effective legislation of Ukraine and the effective activity of the bodies of state executive power in order to protect the rights of civil servants. Conclusions. Conduct of competitive selection for civil service positions is a complex legal process, which requires a detailed study of the legal framework and familiarization with the practice of application. Considering the peculiarities of conducting tenders in the civil service, we analyzed the norms of the current legislation, made conclusions and provided practical recommendations for improving the tender procedure itself and facilitating the work of personnel of the personnel management services.
