FEATURES OF THE «SELF-IMAGE» MANIFESTATION IN CHILDREN WITH DENTOFACIAL ANOMALIES

Abstract
The article presents results of an empirical study of the specific manifestations of the “Self-image” in children with dentofacial anomalies. The possible influence of physical pathologies on the development of the “Self-image” in childhood has been shown. Indicators of the “Self-image” development of children of primary school age and adolescence have been were determined. Based on the comparative analysis of the results of respondents in the experimental and control groups, the authors have revealed specific manifestations of the “Self-image” in children with congenital malformations of the dentofacial area. It has been stated that these features are manifested in a decreased level of awareness of the “Self”; negative evaluation of the “Self”; heightened tension of social contacts.
