FEATURES OF THE TRANSLATION OF GERMAN PHRASEOLOGISMS IN UKRAINIAN (BASED ON THE POEM BY G. HEINE "ATTA TROLL" TRANSLATED BY LESYA UKRAINKA)

Abstract
The article attempts to analyze the translation of phraseological units from the German language into Ukrainian. The material for the study was the text of the poem by G. Heine "Atta Troll" and its translation into Ukrainian, performed by Lesya Ukrainka. Fiction is the spiritual sphere in which is concentrated the entire range of achievements of human society during its lifetime. It combines the features of both the national unity of a particular people and its international relations. Works that came out of the pen of bright representatives of a certain national culture can and must be translated into foreign languages of the world in order to receive a worthy appraisal by other peoples. Due to this very spiritual exchange within the process of intercultural communication, the process of rapprochement of nations, their mutual enrichment takes place. In the presentation of the national color painting, imaginative linguistic means play an important role. Among these, phraseological units play a leading role. On the basis of the research, the author comes to the conclusion that on phraseologisms is put the implementation of semantic and stylistic functions in the fiction text, therefore full-fledged translation of phraseological units into a foreign language is one of the main conditions for the creation of an adequate translation. To create it, the translator should pick up the linguistic equivalent of the phraseological unit in order to save the meaning and the esthetic value of the original work of fiction and convey it to the reader of the recipient language. The translation of the phraseological units used in the poetic work, poses the greatest difficulty, since understanding of the important basic principles, on which the construction of a poetic work is based, is an important premise for the equivalent translation of a poetic work in general, besides that the translator must also skillfully put phraseology in the text of the work, while preserving it's ideological-aesthetic content, substance and form.
