FIGURES' OF SPEECH TRANSLATION PECULIARITIES (BASED ON UKRAINIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES)

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of stylistic figures of the speech translation on (he basis of Ukrainian and English. The author defines the concept of stylistic competence, which is the highest level of proficiency, including knowledge of translation, the notion of "stylistic conformity" and "stylistic match." The paper emphasis on the need to preserve the original image in translation, because the translator should try to recreate the accept, rather than the reception. During the transferring of stylistic figures of speech - comparisons, metaphors, metonimiy - every specialist should decide whether it is advisable to keep the image that underlying or replace it with another (more imaginative, not word to word translation, richly saturated). To comply with the basic stylistic language requirements, expressiveness, precision, stylistic motivation and production methods were most appropriate for expressing the content in a particular context, the interpreter must necessarily be proficient in both languages stylistic resources.
