Final Palaeolithic Site Beganchik at the Mouth of the Kama River (Research Results 2013)

Abstract
The paper presents a brief review of the work of the sections "Archaeology of the Lower Volga region" at the annual scientific conference "Astrakhan local lore readings" held since 2009. The conference is traditionally held in end of May in the building of the Astrakhan Regional Museum. The Astrakhan state United historical and architectural Museum-reserve have been the conference organizers. Issues on history, geography, biological diversity, multiethnic interaction, museum and archival affairs, literary studies have been discussed. The section of archeology, which has made a significant contribution to the promotion and scientific understanding of the rich archaeological heritage in the region held a central place at the conference.
