FINANCIAL SHOCKS IN THE LIGHT OF FINANCIAL SECTOR DEVELOPMENT IN THE EASTERN PARTNERSHIP COUNTRIES

Abstract
The study found that the level of development of the financial sector of the Eastern Partnership countries in terms of indicators of financial corporations' assets to GDP and to total assets of the financial sector is relatively low. The banking sector remains responsible for the emergence, spread and containment of financial shocks. The link between the level of development of the financial sector and the propensity to the emergence and spread of financial shocks does matter, but considering the issues of financial shocks the resiliency of financial sector is more important, than the level of its development.
