Travelogues which are among the written sources mentioned, carry significant information for folkloric studies. Travelogues, besides carrying important tips for science disciplines such as geography, history, sociology, religion, literature, also function as a source for folkloric researches with regard to many ingredients they host in their structure. Owing to these works, many folkloric elements of public culture belonging to different periods and places are able to reach today from centuries ago.
