FORMATION OF READING SKILLS IN ENGLISH USING VISUALIZATION IN ELEMENTERY SCHOOL

Abstract
The article analyzes the current state and prospects of the development of the problem of formation of knowledge and skills of junior pupils in the process of teaching reading at the English lessons using visual aids. The theoretical aspects of teaching reading on the elementary level are described. The types of reading and the nature of texts for reading in English at primary school are analysed. The difficulties which arise during teaching reading in a foreign language and the ways to solve them are pointed out. The paper clarifies the content of the principle of visibility, substantiates the necessity of using types of visibility while teaching reading in foreign language. The article reveals the essence of the use of visual material as a mean of visibility, considers the visual material in terms of classification; clarifies and complements the didactic conditions for the effective use of visual means. The article deals with didactic and methodological recommendations on the use of visual means.
