Formulation and evaluation of chitosan nanoparticles containing Zidovudine for the target delivery into the brain
Journal Title: Indian Journal of Research in Pharmacy and Biotechnology - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Chitosan nanoparticles of Zidovudine (AZT), coated with Polysorbate 80 were prepared in the present study. The technique used in the preparation of nanoparticles was spontaneous emulsification. The nanoparticles were prepared by varying polymer and drug ratios. Characterization of nanoparticles and in-vitro evaluation of drug release was studied. This work presents a complete experimental approach to the preparation of Chitosan nanoparticles containing Zidovudine for the target delivery into the brain.
