Fuel modification based on some metals compounds and their environmental impact
Journal Title: Science, Technology and Innovation - Year 2018, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
The history of fuel additive use reflects the interplay between chemistry, technology and public health concerns related to environmental effects. Decisions to use specific type of chemical modification during combustion process have been made in the absence of toxicological data on health and environmental effects or exposure. The influence of these important issues has extended globally, and the effects of various compositions impact for decades after the removal of these compounds. Fuel modifications are widely used for petrol, oil and solid fuels. According to market screening and literature review, additives containing some dangerous compounds are still in used today. Pb(C2H5)4 was used for long time as fuel additive and is still used as an additive in some grades of aviation gasoline, and in some developing countries. It is obvious that additives containing copper, lead and cerium should be replaced by organic substitutes or inorganic oxidizers during combustion processes.

Hybrid Linearized Class-BD Double Sided (LBDD) Digital Pulse Width Modulator (DPWM) for Class-BD Audio Amplifiers
The paper presents an original architecture and implementation of 9-bit LBDD hybrid DPWM circuit for Class-BD digital audio amplifier. The input PCM signals are directly transformed into 24-bit LBDD DPWM signals and the...
Air-water heat pump applied as water boiler in single-family house, coefficient of performance analysis under the real conditions
The subject of the research was an air-water heat pump, model PCUW 2.5kW from HEWALEX, installed in a single-family house. The pump is only used for heating water. The research was carried out from 25-08-2017 to 18-09-20...
The influence of sterilization on properties of polyurethane/polylactide blend
The biodegradable polyurethane/polylactide blend was treated with low temperature hydrogen peroxide plasma, ethylene oxide and immersing in ethanol combined with ultraviolet radiation. The samples sterilized by hydrogen...
The EMA Study on the Inter-individual Variability and Differences in Articulation between Polish Oral and Nasalised Vowels
The electromagnetic articulography (EMA) is a relatively exact and efficient method used in study on speech production physiology. It allows to precisely estimate movement trajectories of speech articulators like tongue,...
