Journal Title: Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces - Year 2010, Vol 157, Issue 3
Abstract
The responsibility of the state, mainly in central and local government bodies, is to have appropriate systemic solutions, proper law as well as the structures and tools which enable efficient management in a crisis situation. This is of crucial importance, the reason being that activities in a crisis situation and emergency states are performed under tremendous pressure, stress, with limited information and at high risk. Crisis management law demands that crisis management centres are created at different levels of civil service in order to respond appropriately and promptly to an emergency. This article introduces the current structure of crisis management in the civil service in Poland, including tasks assigned to each structure in the civil service.
