FUNCTIONS OF THE NATIONAL POLICE UKRAINE: AND THE NOTION OF CLASSIFICATION

Abstract
The article emphasizes that understanding the nature of the police contributes to the clear definition of their role and place in the system of public authorities. Research management functions has exclusive practical significance, because of their decisive influence on the structure and powers of each individual executive body. It is proved that in a democratic society based on the rule of law, the police performs the traditional functions of preventing, combating, detecting crime, ensuring public peace, ensuring law, maintaining public order and the protection of fundamental human rights. Moreover, in this society, the police provide various services social issues that accompany its other activities. In turn, the police has its own discretion in the performance of these functions. Police in a democratic society helps maintain the values of democracy and she confesses that purpose. Emphasized that the functions are derived from the objectives and reveal the content of the National Police of Ukraine. Classification of the main functions of the National Police Ukraine offered by the selection of two parts: 1) intra-organizational functions Police; 2) external functions of the police.
