Abstract
The article highlights and theoretically substantiates the problems of preparing students for professional activity. Modern approaches to agrarian higher education in modern pedagogical science and practice are considered. The peculiarities of the professional training of future specialists in the agrarian sector are analyzed, the main components of modernization of the system of higher agricultural education are considered.
