Gazowe urządzenie naprężające z systemem antykradzieżowym

Abstract

Overhead catenary is a no-reserve part of the railway infrastructure, which provides electricity to the traction vehicles. Its parameters must ensure proper electrical contact of contact wires with the pantograph. One of the parameters is the flexibility of catenary, which depends on the tension of contact wires and messenger wires. Elements of catenary, including contact wires and messenger wires, are subject to the phenomenon of thermal expansion with temperature changes. In order to minimize these phenomena catenary compensation is applied using different types of tensioning devices: counterweight, spring or gas tensioning devices may be used. The gas tensioning device is a no-counterweight solution so there is no danger of changing catenary tension due to theft of tensioning weights. The tests of the gas tensioning device type AERO 1000 has shown that it properly compensates changes of the length of the catenary elements and maintains the strength of their tension within acceptable limits. Due to the price of copper, thefts of traction network elements are a common occurrence. Gas tensioning devices are equipped with, inter alia, sensors of force, movement of the piston and temperature that are mainly used for diagnostics of the system, but can be also used as an anti-theft system.
