GENERAL CHARACTERISTIC OF LEXICAL-SEMANTIC GROUP «DESTINY» IN THE OLD RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract
In the article main representations of destiny in the Old Russian language are considered. The words of lexicalsemantic group (LSG) «Destiny» contain these representations in their semantic structure. In this article the words судьба— sud’ba (destiny), судъ — sud (court), провѣдъ — proved (fate), проповѣдъ —propoved’, проуставленіе — proustavlenije, проуставъ — proustav, провидѣніе — providenije, провѣдѣніе — provedenije (predetermination, predestination) and others are described. These words define destiny as Divine predestination. At first, semantic structure of words судьба — sud’ba (destiny) and судъ — sud (court) are analyzed. These words are the main words of the group. The author deducts that words of LSG «Destiny» were used for description of religious life of an Old Russian people.
