Genetic Variability and its Association With Yield and its Traits in Vigna Radiata L.Wilczek
Journal Title: International Journal of Botany and Research (IJBR) - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 2
Abstract
To Understand Its Genetic Variability, Heritability, Genetic Advance And Character Association With Seed Yield/Plant And Its Component Traits, It Was Decidsed To Study 50 Advance Lines Including Three Varieties Of Vigna Radiata. Seed Yield Per Plant Showed Maximum Variability Followed By Pods/Plant, Plant Height, Branches/Plant And 100-Seed Weight. For All The Traits, Their Heritability Estimates Were High, Except Days To Flower And Pod Length. High Expected Genetic Advance Coupled With High Heritability Estimates Were Observed In Seed Yield Per Plant, Pods Per Plant, aAnd Plant Height, And All These Traits Were Least Influenced By Environmental Variation. Significant And Positive Association Were Found In Seed Yield Per Plant And Pods Per Plant, Plant Height, Harvest Index And Grains Per Pod

Traditional Uses of the Wild Plants by the Tribal Communities of Jawhar, Palghar, Maharashtra, India
The tribal communities have been largely dependent on the wild plants for various purposes such as food, medicine, timber and so on. Several studies have documented this traditional knowledge about wild plants, but mostl...
Seasonal Variation in Leaf Extracts of Dendrocalamus Strictus Sps-As Reflected in Differential Expression of Soluble Biosynthates
A variation within species is the reflection of its genotype and its interaction with the environment. Seasonal cycles of temperature, photoperiod, light intensity, relative humidity and rainfall exert a pronounced contr...
Studies on Variability, Heritability and Genetic Advance in Some Quantitative Characters in Bread Wheat (Triticum Aestivum L)
An experiment was conducted on genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance in wheat population, including 48 F1’s + 48 F2’s + 16 parents in RBD during Rabi 2014-15. Analysis of variance for the design of experi...
