GENRE NATURE OF THE EUROPEAN PHILOSOPHICAL NOVEL

Abstract
The question of definition of a philosophical novel is analyzed. The theoretical positions of the European literary criticism concerning the problem of a philosophical novel as a genre and its genre features are considered on the basis of the experiences of the Lithuanian researcher V. Bikulcius and the French scientist M. Roman. The position of the Russian researcher of philosophical prose O. Yeremeyev is taken into consideration.
