Geny Hox jako regulatory rozwoju zarodkowego i markery molekularne w badaniach filogenetycznych u Heteroptera – stan obecny i perspektywy dalszych badań
Journal Title: Heteroptera Poloniae - Acta Faunistica - Year 2017, Vol 11, Issue
Abstract
The Homeotic Complex (Hox) genes are a group of genes, which expression along anteriorposterior body axis of the embryo is required to assign segmental identity. Comparison of wild-type individuals and those with homeotic phenotype has resulted in knowing of the functions of heteropteran Hox genes: Deformed gene expression is necessary for proper mandibular development, Sex combs reduced gene with Dfd specify the maxillae, and with pb – the labium, Antennapedia gene is strongly expressed in thorax and it is required for segmentation of the medial region of the leg, while Ultrabithorax has a major influence on diversification of legs in the adaptive radiation of semi-aquatic bugs. Hox genes are also suitable molecular markers to resolve phylogenetic relationships in Heteroptera, however more studies are necessary.

Nowe stanowiska Pyrrhocoris marginatus (Kolenati, 1845) (Heteroptera: Pyrrhocoridae) w Polsce
Pyrrhocoris marginatus was known in Poland only from two precise localities, so far. The note presents three new sites of this species from Upper and Lower Silesia.
Cantacader subovatus (Motschulsky, 1863) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cantacaderidae) and Dictyonota opaca (Linnavuori, 1965) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tingidae): first records from Pakistan
Cantacader subovatus (Motschulsky, 1863) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cantacaderidae) and Dictyonota opaca Linnavuori, 1965 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tingidae) are reported for the first time from Pakistan. C. subovatus is th...
Nishadana typica (Distant, 1889) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae): first record from Laos
Nishadana typica Distant, 1889 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae) is reported for the first time from Laos. This species was hitherto recorded only in India (three localities), Myanmar (a single locality), and Bangladesh...
Preliminary studies on the usefulness of DNA mini-barcodes for determining phylogenetic relationships within shieldbugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Pentatomidae)
The paper presents results of preliminary studies on the usefulness of DNA mini-barcodes for the phylogenetic inference within Pentatomidae. Mini-barcodes for six Polish shieldbug species representing three pentatomid su...
Nowe stanowiska pięciu gatunków Aradidae (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) w Polsce
New data on five species of Aradidae, including two rarely collected in Poland (i.e., Aneurus avenius and Aradus truncatus) are presented. A review of the literature data and information regarding their biology is also p...
