GLOBAL STATUS OF UKRAINE: DEFINITION AND INTERPRETATION

Abstract
The article deals with the problems of modern economic and social development of Ukraine. The raised question includes its global status and its compliance with the criteria derived in the theory of world-system analysis. It proposes the calculation method of the Index of global status of the countries. It is used to determine the place of Ukraine in the modern system of international relations.
