It is observed that the coups that have been experienced since the old periods of history have increased in the 20th century and continued in the 21st century. Overall, although it emerges as a military coup, in the 2000s, it took place form of people’s revolt in the former Soviet countries and the Balkans. Such coups made for the regime or the leader are generally caused by the democracy of the country and post-coup legal or constitutional amendments restrict people's rights and freedoms. The basic argument, which exists at the core of the democratic system is that the country is governed by an elected government. Generally, in the case of violence and coercion, the people are sometimes active, sometimes passively involved in the process.
