Growth of competencies as basis of efficiency increase in company

Abstract
Management that is basing on competencies standardizes and integrates actions that are to lead to target completion. Setting the competencies frames facilitates management. It enhances processes having to do with employee selection, professional trainings, work effects estimation, employees motivation and makes it possible to be accepted by all the staff. Competencies refer to specific work posi-tion. They set the level of knowledge, skills and attitude that the employee should have in order to fulfill his or her tasks in an easy and effective way. In this article the essence of competencies and their growth has been described. What has been showed are activities performed by the Polish government aiming at the growth of citizens’ competencies to make them more suitable for employers’ expectations. There have been presented practices applied by corporations that contribute to employees’ competencies growth, which leads to the companies’ goals completion.
