GUIDELINES OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN HIGHER PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION: THE CORE AND PRINCIPLES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

Purpose. To reveal the peculiarities of the concept of "sustainable development" according to author's dynamic model and to cover the principles of sustainable development, which are important with regard to developing a methodical system for the training of future teachers. Methodology. The research uses a number of theoretical methods, including comparative-historical analysis of the chosen scientific problem, interpretation, modeling, by usage of which the features of the concept of "sustainable development" were identified. Results. The dynamic model of the notion was developed. The main principles of sustainable development, which are important in the process of training of future teachers were reflected. Under sustainable development the researcher implies the process of transition of society to a new qualitative state, which ensures the sustainability. The article presents author's dynamic model of the concept of "sustainable development" in the form of a constantly rotating jig. In addition, the analysis and interpretation of the main principles of sustainable development have been conducted with regard to the peculiarities of the educational process of training teachers for education in the interests of sustainable development in the higher education system. Originality. For the first time, a dynamic model of the concept of "sustainable development" was developed. The main principles of sustainable development in the educational process of the higher pedagogical school have been further developed. Practical value. The presented dynamic model of the concept of "sustainable development" will help visualize its essence and promote better understanding among future teachers. Conclusion. Education for sustainable development (ESD) currently becomes the feature of the education itself. Therefore, for the understanding and implementation of the ESD into school system practice, the concept of "sustainable development" becomes more important for future teachers.
