Heart rate recovery during treadmill test in Silent Myocardial ischemic and non-ischemic type 2 Diabetes patients
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Applied Medical Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 5
Abstract
Abstract: Myocardial ischemia occurs when myocardial oxygen supply cannot meet myocardial oxygen demand. Silent Myocardial Ischemia (S.M.I.) is defined as objective documentation of myocardial ischemia in the absence of angina or angina equivalents. Heart rate recovery can be defined as the rate at which the HR declines from either maximal or submaximal exercise to resting levels. The present study compare the heart rate recovery at 1 minute post-exercise in S.M.I. and non ischemic type 2 diabetes patients during T.M.T.150 type 2 diabetic patients were taken and they undergone T.M.T.Present study observed that heart rate recovery in S.M.I. group was significantly lower than heart rate recovery in non-ischemic group. So it can be concluded that slow heart rate recovery in S.M.I. groupcould be due to autonomic nervous system dysfunction. To Assess Skin Blood Flow Response to Breath Holding in Smokers
Abstract: Endothelial dysfunction causing pathologies associated with smoking alters blood flow to the skin. Skin blood flow is controlled through the release of compounds by vascular endothelium. The changes in peripher...
Association of Lipid Profile in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Abstract:The aim was to study the association between lipid profile and acute ischemic stroke. 60 patients of acute ischemic stroke were included in the study. The blood samples were taken and CT/MRI brain as appropriate...
Comparative study of topical diltiazem sphincterotomy and lateral internal sphincterotomy in the treatment of chronic fissure-in-ano: a prospective analytical study
Abstract: Anal fissures are considered to be one of the commonest causes of proctalgia. Chronic fissure-in-ano is the condition when there is persistence of fissure for more than six weeks. Surgical techniques like manua...
Computed Tomography Based Study in the Detection and Characterization of Mediastinal Masses: An Institutional Study
Abstract: The cross sectional anatomy of the mediastinum is conveniently described in relation to major structures at each level using computed tomography. Hence CT is a superior modality than plain radiography to charac...
