HIGH AND ULTRA – HIGH CYCLE FATIGUE OF C55 HIGH GRADE CARBON STEEL
Journal Title: Applied Engineering Letters - Year 2016, Vol 1, Issue 4
Abstract
Article provides experimental results in the field of ultra-high cycle fatigue behaviour of C55 high grade carbon steel obtained at highfrequency loading (f ≈ 20 kHz, T = 20 ± 10 °C, R = -1). The results confirm a continuous decrease of fatigue lifetime beyond the conventional fatigue limit. Fatigue fracture surfaces were characterized by surface fatigue crack initiation in both high and ultra-high cycle region, what means that that influence of microstructure defects was not significant enough to cause the sub-surface crack initiation

A SIMPLE APPROACH FOR DESIGNING A FILTER ON MICROSTRIP LINES
This paper deals with the design and fabrication of edge-coupled band pass filter (BPF) circuit (fifth order) on microwave laminate for 4.5 GHz ± 0.5 GHz application. The design of filter is realized on a high quality RT...
THE IMPACT OF VOLUME FRACTION METAL/CERAMIC CONSTITUENTS ON CRITICAL BUCKLING TEMPERATURE OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED PLATE
A thermal buckling analysis of functionally graded rectangular plates is presented. Mechanical and thermal properties of the functionally graded material, except Poisson’s ratio, are assumed to vary continuously through...
POTENTIODYNAMIC POLARIZATION OF AZ31 MAGNESIUM ALLOY WITH DCP
Potentiodynamic polarization is the main laboratory technique used for the most relevant electrochemical corrosion characteristics determination. The Mg-3Al-1Zn biodegradable alloy electrodeposited by dicalcium phosphate...
THE INFLUENCE OF ELECTROSPINNING PROCESS PARAMETERS ON THE MORPHOLOGY OF THE PVP NANOFIBERS
The article describes the investigation of the effect of electrospinning process parameters wherein the distance between the electrodes was variable, the voltage and the flow rate of the polymer solution was constant for...
ANALYSIS OF DRY SLIDING WEAR BEHAVIOUR OF AL 6061- COCONUT SHELL ASH METAL MATRIX COMPOSITES USING STIR CASTING
Al6061 with hard particle reinforcement contains higher stiffness, maximum strength and wear resistance when compare to unreinforced alloy. They can be usage for self-propelled automotive components and aircraft construc...
