HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP WANITA USIA SUBUR (WUS) DENGAN PEMERIKSAAN INSPEKSI VISUAL ASAM ASETAT (IVA) DI PUSKESMAS KAWATUNA TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Inspection of Visual Acetate Acid (IVA) is an early detection of cervical cancer. The coverage of IVA examination programs at Kawatuna Health Center in 2016 is still low, from the national target of detection of IVA as much as 20%, only 13.4% have done IVA examination, the obstacle experienced by women in early detection of cervical cancer is doubts about the importance of examination, lack of knowledge, and embarrassment during the examination. The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of fertile age women (WUS) with IVA examination at the Kawatuna Community Health Center in 2018. The type of this study was analytic using aapproach cross sectional. This research was conducted on April 30 to May 24, 2018 at the Kawatuna Health Center. The population in this study were all WUS IVA targets in 2017 in the work area of Kawatuna Health Center totaling 515 people. Samples totaling 41 people, the sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The analysis used in this study was univariate and bivariate analysis usingtest Chi-square. The results of the study showed that from 41 respondents, most of the respondents had poor knowledge, namely 22 respondents (53.7%). The results oftest Chi-square value p = 0.003 <α = 0.005. Most of the respondents were positive in their attitude as many as 21 respondents (51.2%). The results oftest Chi-square value p = 0.002 <α = 0.005. The conclusion is the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of fertile age women (WUS) with an examination of Visual Acetic Acid (IVA) inspection at the Kawatuna Health Center. Suggestion for Midwives at Kawatuna Health Center to socialize the importance of comprehensive IVA examination in the Kawatuna Health Center area, so as to increase WUS awareness to conduct IV examination to detect cervical cancer as early as possible.
